She died 10 years later. Her father is Jewish and she was brought up in Reform Judaism. Handler grew up in a thriving neighborhood and enjoyed her childhood. Her move to Los Angeles when she was aged 19 to explore acting. Handler began to perform for income. When she turned 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue standing-up comedy on a regular basis, since she discovered her storytelling skills. Handler made her debut on her role on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Badly show, which featured a reality TV show that had the use of a hidden camera/practical joke. This show aired from 2002 until 2005. The actress was a part of other programs, including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a a corresponded to The Tonight Show. Handler got her big break after 2006 when she began host her own program on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show lasted for two seasons.
